This is a Topfield PVR, known as a "Toppy". There's lots of information on this device at http://toppy.org.uk , including user manuals and discussion groups.

You can find an online version of the user manual here: http://toppy.org.uk/newusers/manual.php .

Note: This Toppy is NOT the HD version.

You can use the Toppy as it is, but if you're really into playing with things, you can install applications (called "TAPs") that enhance the functionality of the box.

This is a fully working device. I'm only getting rid of it because I've switched over to HD for everything.
