EcoBees is committed to protecting our members privacy. We are entirely open about our information gathering practices. Please take the time to review this notice which states our privacy policy.

EcoBees is operated and jointly owned by DedGud Ltd. and me-too.net.  The terms "EcoBees" and "we" are taken to mean the owners of EcoBees as described above.

For us to help you identify Ads in your area and notify you of them, we need to know your email address and home address.  We will not collect any information about you unless it is specifically and knowingly provided by you.  The information we collect will be accurate and up to date as supplied by you.  You can check this at any time by using the 'My information' link. You can correct any details immediately.

When you request an item, we will prefill a template email with your email address so that the person can contact you, however you can remove this.  We give your email address to the person that you are accepting for one of your Ads.  This is so that the member can contact you to arrange collection/delivery of the item.  When you accept a member for your Ad, we will prefill a template email with your address so they know where to collect it from.  In that accept email we also send them a link that gives them directions to your address for collection or delivery(provided by Google). Only people you accept will see your mail and address.

We collect information about our members via server logs and cookies.  A cookie is a file that your web browser places on your computers hard disk for record keeping purposes.  The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings.  The cookie does not store any personally identifiable information nor password details.

EcoBees operates an opt out mail system. This gives you the choice of whether or not you wish to receive information about Ads.  You can opt out of receiving these mailings by using the 'Notifications' tab once in you are in your 'My information' area.

It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer.  Ensure that you log out when you finish using a shared computer.

In addition to our safeguards, your personal data is protected in the UK by the Data Protection Act (the Act').  'The Act' requires us to ensure that the data we hold about you should be processed lawfully and fairly.  It should be accurate, relevant and not excessive. The information should, where necessary, be kept up to date and not retained for longer than is necessary. It should be kept securely to prevent unauthorized access by other people.

We will never sell your email address nor give it to anybody unless legally obliged to do so.

We randomise your location within a 1 square mile area when showing your location on maps(it changes every time it's displayed), we never display your address, only town, county and country.  In fact, we will NEVER give your address to anybody unless legally obliged to do so!!

When you accept a reply from a member for one of your Ads, we will give you a form that allows you tell them that you have accepted them, give them your contact details and when they should collect.

Obviously they will need your address to collect the item, so we will add this to the form to save you having to type in your address every time you accept a reply to your Ads.  You have complete control over the content of this text and you can delete your address from it before sending it to them.  We only provide it as a courtesy to you to save you time.

Whatever you put in the form is sent to the member you have accepted.
